Web 2.0 For Teachers

If you have some time this weekend, or anytime this summer you might want to start exploring some of the great free online resources available as part of the Web 2.0 revolution.

Collaborate or Write Online
Edit Photos Online
Share or Back Up Your Bookmarks
  • Del.icio.us
  • Stumble Upon *
  • Diigo
  • Blinklist
  • Simpy
  • Chipmark * (I started using this after a Firefox upgrade deleted all my bookmarks, when that same thing happened again I was very grateful to Chipmark, I prefer it to Del.icio.us because you can automatically upload all your favorites without messing up the way your favorite currently appear on your screen.)
Start a Blog
Use a Digital Calendar
Share or View a Slideshow
Get Organized
Send an Audio/Video E-mail
Create an Online Portfolio
(could be used for your portfolio or to share student work - get creative)
Make Your Own Wiki
Especially For Teachers

Just For Kids
Many of these are part of Google or interface beautifully with various Google applications. I have about 100 Gmail referrals is you want one to make your Google collection complete. Just e-mail or comment.

*I personally use this one.
