ASL Blocks

I can't decide if these are creepy or cool. Find them at Fingerspelling Blocks.

  1. This makes me chuckle. I can see how they might be a tad creepy. Might be better if they had the letters and signs alternating on the sides of the blocks. I could see Nik just chewing on the hands instead of looking at the signs! LOL

  2. Is it just me, or do these remind you of "thing" from the Addams family? LOL. I think these are kind of cute!

  3. They are a little creepy. Yet brilliant at the same time. For some kids (and grown ups! I had a really hard time learning how to sign.) to be able to see the hands from all angles, rather than in just two dimensions like you would in a book or if it were stamped onto the side of the block, might make all the difference.
    Thanks for sharing.

  4. I suppose they also might be useful for those who are deafblind and need to feel the letter shapes.
